Creating better student outcomes
'Studying postgraduate education when working in that field is so engaging because I was able to relate it to what I do on a day-to-day basis. The material I learnt whilst studying, I was applying real time into my work. It changed some of the directions that I was taking as a leader, which ultimately benefited the college in more ways than one, which ultimately created better student outcomes.'
Acting Director (Teaching Enhancement Centre) Kelvin Grove State College
Develop and diversity your leadership skills
Designed for passionate professionals working with young children, this course builds your leadership skills and deepens your expertise in creating meaningful learning experiences, shaping strong futures, and driving change in communities.
Design learning experiences
Expand your knowledge and capabilities in best practice in Indigenous Australian education. Design learning experiences that incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into the curriculum and pedagogical practice, while also exploring the vital role teachers play in supporting Indigenous Australians within our education system.
Knowledge that drives real change
'QUT has significantly enhanced my understanding of inclusive education, providing me with the knowledge to support students as well as being able to contribute with evidence-based information during consultations with stakeholders, and other specialists. I believe that every student deserves an education that respects their unique strengths and challenges. My journey through teaching and ongoing studies at QUT have reinforced this belief, fuelling my passion for inclusive education and continuous professional growth.'
Leading the transformation in STEM education
'For my course, its advocacy for evidence-based whole-school and classroom-level practices around pedagogy, classroom management, are much needed and very much practicable. I would recommend QUT to future students because the university provides learning environments that foster success and effectively prepare students for the very real challenges of this uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world through quality teaching and support both inside and outside the classroom.'
Make positive change
'We're talking about our most vulnerable kids when we're talking about complex trauma and when we can see schools and teachers as having this power where we can intervene and we can help - not only do we help them access learning, but for their entire life, we can really make a positive impact on where they end up in the future.'
