Invested in your success
The QUT Faculty of Law Founders’ Scholarship has been a huge help throughout my first year of study—it allowed me to complete my studies without being under the pressure of financial stress. The scholarship has also provided me with a lot of support, not just financially. Everyone I’ve met through the Law Founders’ Scholarship has been friendly, supportive and helpful.
Make a difference
'I am passionate about the law and the legal system. My law/justice double degree will enable me to make a positive difference in people lives by advocating for their rights and interests. I have witnessed a lot of suffering and injustice–I’m Hazara (a minority ethnic group in Afghanistan), so my ethnicity has been persecuted for a very long time. I want to use my studies to make our world a better place.'
Double your opportunities
'I decided to pursue a double degree in law and justice, majoring in politics and policy, because I'm genuinely interested in understanding how laws operate, both in Australia and around the world. My studies excite me as they allow me to focus on critical issues like the environment and ensuring fairness for everyone. This double degree isn't just about acquiring facts; it's about my strong desire to leverage law and politics for positive change.'

Professional purpose
'If I can help a woman separate safely from a violent relationship. If I can help empower her and help her to negotiate her way through the legal system then I get a real sense of satisfaction. It really is my dream job.'
