Information technology component
The IT degree features common units in the first year, providing you with the chance to explore the IT majors before you choose your specialisation. These common units are designed to give you a solid grounding in the fundamentals of IT and prepare you for the remainder of your studies. You’ll become familiar with software development and networked systems, with specific expertise in information security, networks and communications, intelligent systems, data-centric computing or human-computer interaction. You’ll also learn the fundamental principles of computation, and how to identify and solve system design issues associated with efficiency, usability and security.
This program will equip you for a dynamic career in the rapidly evolving field of data science.
