Your course begins with a four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), where you will choose from one of nine majors:

Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), you will receive an offer to progress into the one-year Master of Engineering Management.
Work Integrated Learning
During this course you are required to complete 60 days (equivalent to 450 hours) of approved work experience for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) component.

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) consists of 32 units (384 credit points), arranged as follows:

96 credit points of core units which include:
- 60 credit points of first year units
- 36 credit points of Honours units
- 0 credit point Work Placement Experience Report unit
- 24 credit points of QUT You units to be selected from a unit option list
- 216 credit points of units from a selected engineering major which includes 60 credit points of advanced honours level units.
- Choice of majors: Chemical and Sustainable Process, Civil, Computer and Software Systems, Electrical, Electrical and Aerospace, Electrical and Renewable Power, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Medical.
- 48 credit points of complementary studies to be selected from the options specified for the chosen major.
To meet the Master of Engineering Management course requirements, you must complete a total of 96 credit points, made up of:
- 72 credit points of core units
- 24 credit points of complementary studies units.
