Turn data into decisions
Turn complex data into confident decisions with a degree that blends advanced analytics, optimisation, and communication skills. You’ll gain hands-on experience solving real-world problems, preparing you for in-demand careers in data science, decision analytics, and beyond.
From raw data to tested tools
‘I am studying a Bachelor of Data Science at QUT focusing on AI, machine learning, and advanced computing. This mix lets me go deep on AI while building strong skills across Python, cloud, and performance computing. It has already paid off because now that I work in industry, I can take a problem from raw data to a tested tool that people actually use. QUT is very practical and well connected with industry, which allows us to build projects using real tools, and engage with real practitioners in the field.’

Building peace through data science
'As a data science student, I have often considered ethical responsibility within the usage of data, science, and technology, but had not previously explored these ideas through the lens of peacebuilding. I had the honour to represent QUT at the 5th Global Peace Summit, organised by the Humanitarian Affairs Asia, and held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok. The experience expanded my understanding and developed my global perspective on ethical leadership and social impact.'
