The Bachelor of Business ensures you graduate with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to thrive. Choose from: accounting, advertising, behavioural economics, economics, entrepreneurship and innovation, finance, financial planning, human resource management, international business, management, marketing, and public relations

The Bachelor of Creative Industries will prepare you for the real world with studio-based learning, skills in entrepreneurship, real industry challenges, work integrated learning (WIL) opportunities and links to creative start-ups - the perfect complement to your business studies. You can choose from the following creative industries majors; creative and professional writing, fashion communication, interactive and visual design and screen content production.

Graduates work in a diverse range of careers, using their creative expertise and business knowledge to take advantage of growing career opportunities in business and the creative industries, whether that be as a creative practitioner, an industry professional, or by applying your creative skills within a business environment.  

Professional recognition

Students may be eligible for membership to a number of professional bodies depending on choice of major and unit selection in their business degree. Find details on professional recognition under the individual majors of the Bachelor of Business (BS05).

On successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to apply for entry into the Bachelor of Business (Honours), Master of Teaching (Secondary) or Master of Philosophy, provided you meet the entry requirements.

In order to complete this course, you must complete a total of 384 credit points comprising 180 credit points from the Bachelor of Business, 180 credit points from the Bachelor of Creative Industries and 24 credit points of QUT You units. You will undertake the two components of the double degree concurrently.

Creative Industries component:

  • Bachelor of Creative Industries core units - 72 credit points
  • Creative Industries complementary studies - 12 credit points from the Creative Industries introductory units list or the university wide elective units list 
  • A Creative Industries first major - 96 credit points from one of the specified first majors

Business component: 

  • Bachelor of Business core units - 84 credit points
  • Business major - 96 credit points

QUT You component:

  • 24 credit points selected from the QUT You option units.
