Real-world learning
From your first year, you’ll dive into real writing challenges that reflect the kinds of work you’ll do in your career. You’ll collaborate with industry professionals, sharpen your skills through workshops and peer feedback, and explore how writing works across different settings, from creative storytelling to corporate communication.
Throughout this course, you’ll take part in two dedicated community engagement units. In your first year, you’ll connect with local organisations to understand the opportunities and challenges in your community. Later in the course, you’ll build on this experience by applying your skills in a real workplace, solving problems and contributing meaningfully.
You’ll also complete a work integrated learning internship, giving you the chance to apply your knowledge in a professional setting, build your network, and gain confidence in your abilities. These experiences are designed to help you graduate with the practical skills, creative thinking and industry insight to make a real impact.

This major blends creative and professional writing practice with critical thinking and ethical frameworks. You will:

Double degrees
Combine your Bachelor of Arts (Writing in a Digital World) degree with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and graduate with two qualifications in just 5.5 years. This future-focused double degree equips you with the persuasive writing and communication skills to advocate, educate and lead across legal, cultural and social contexts. You’ll be prepared to influence policy, engage communities, and drive meaningful change.
