Real-world learning
From your first year, you’ll gain hands-on experience applying ethical design thinking to real-world contexts through community engagement and work integrated learning.
You’ll work on projects which are connected to industry and community needs, giving you opportunities to identify challenges, prototype solutions and assess impact.
You’ll take part in two community engagement units. Early on, you’ll work with local organisations to understand community needs and opportunities. Later, you’ll apply your skills in a professional setting through a work integrated learning internship.
These experiences are designed to help you graduate with practical skills, creative confidence and a strong understanding of how your work can contribute to social impact.

This major equips you to critically examine how technology shapes society and to design responsible, ethical solutions to real-world challenges.
You’ll explore how technologies such as generative AI, digital platforms and data tools can be used to promote inclusion, sustainability and social good.
Through design thinking, ethical inquiry and applied projects, you’ll learn how to plan, develop and evaluate technology enabled initiatives that respond to community needs, while considering the social, cultural and ethical implications of technological change.

Double degrees
Combine your Bachelor of Arts major with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and graduate with two qualifications in just 5.5 years. This option is ideal if you want to pair your disciplinary expertise with legal knowledge to expand your career opportunities across policy, advocacy and governance.
