Engineers with skills in renewable and sustainable energy systems are in high demand, with more than 100,000 new renewable power jobs in the pipeline to achieve Queensland’s 80 per cent renewable energy target by 2035. 

Now is a pivotal time making to upskill in renewable and sustainable energy systems, sustainable energy policy and carbon management.  

In this course, you’ll gain the ability to manage entire renewable projects including management, regulatory contexts and finance. You will learn about energy storage, how to analyse and design microgrids, energy policy and energy forecasting. 

You will work alongside industry consultants and academic experts who are leaders in renewable energy system design and performance, energy storage, energy efficient transport, Smart Cities, climate change risk assessments, and carbon neutral strategies.

You must have:

  • A recognised completed four-year full-time (or equivalent) engineering degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum GPA of 4.00 (on QUT’s 7 point scale); or
  • A recognised completed three-year full-time (or equivalent) engineering degree in a relevant discipline plus at least 2.00 years full-time (or equivalent) of professional experience in electrical power engineering.
