The Master of Project Management is a postgraduate degree consisting of 144 credit points and is normally completed in 1.5 years of full-time study.
Admission requirements include a completed recognised bachelor degree in project management or related discipline; or a completed recognised bachelor degree in any other discipline and six months full-time (or equivalent) professional project management work experience.
Related disciplines include engineering, built environment, architecture, business, information technology and health management.

Complete two master degrees in two years
Our combined masters package allows you to complete two masters degrees in just two years. Choose to study BN87 Master of Engineering Management and PM20 Master of Project Management in two years.

The Master of Project Management is designed around a set of core project management topics that underpin the knowledge required for the more advanced discipline units. The course will provide you with the critical skills to apply advanced knowlege of contemporary project management research and practice and creatively solve complex project management problems. You will learn to communicate effectively within various social, cultural and professional contexts across and within stakeholder and discipline groups. You will demonstrate leadership, effective management and coordination of project teams and be able to work independently,ethically and collaboratively. Your skills and knowledge are developed though the advanced discipline and Project Investigation units.
To meet the course requirements for the Master in Project Management you are required to complete 144 credit points comprising:
- 48 credit points of core foundation units in project management
- 72 credit points of advanced core units in project management including 36 credit point research component
- a 24 credit point Minor or 24 credit points selected from Project Management General Unit Options

Combined masters package for international students
If you are admitted to Master of Engineering Management and Master of Project Management package, you can progress to the second degree on completion of the first.
You will receive an award for each degree completed.
