What to expect

As an aspiring human resource management leader, it's vital to comprehend the factors influencing thoughts, emotions, motivations, and actions in the workplace during times of change. This program is designed to equip you with the necessary tools to manage change effectively. You'll delve into topics such as understanding oneself and others, organisational contexts and cultural perspectives, and leading change ethically through disruption.

Within this program, you'll also examine the approaches and technologies employed by enterprises to investigate business issues and develop insights guiding effective business strategy. Through hands-on application of key theories and business research tools, you'll gain skills in collecting and analysing data about the business environment (e.g., consumers and competitors) as well as its internal processes and generate insights to help businesses create value through innovation, product development and process improvement.

Finally, you'll explore the intricacies of employment relations, examining both the theoretical and practical aspects of the relationship between employers and employees. You'll analyse the context of labour-management relations, particularly industrial relations institutions and labour markets and examine legislative, economic, political, social and cultural perspectives on work and work organisations. Furthermore, you'll delve into socially responsible approaches in employment relations, as well as the design of work and the inequalities present in current structures.

Units in this postgraduate program are delivered using a mix of face-to-face, online and blended learning technologies. All course materials are placed online, including course lecture materials, practical session guides, readings and help guides.
