The QUT Executive MBA will allow you to accelerate your leadership journey and reach new career and personal achievements. From the start of the program you are given a choice between two distinct pathways:
- international leadership
- complex program leadership and strategic procurement.
The concept of ‘knowing one’s self’ lies at the forefront of the program, facilitating the development of a deep understanding of personal goals and leadership traits.
In addition to self-realisation and leadership, the unique model for this Executive MBA program integrates fundamental units with more advanced elements that include organisational transformation, entrepreneurship, governance and corporate accountability.
The program culminates in an international study tour to one of the world's best universities, MIT, or to Europe, undertaking a deep dive with some of the world's largest companies including Airbus and Pilatus, and honing your abilities to meet the demands of a quickly changing globalised digital economy.
QUT's Executive MBA is different to a conventional MBA. It's designed for executives with at least 10 years of industry experience with a desire to hone their leadership skills and share the journey with an elite cohort.
Everyone is assigned their own leadership coach and executive advisor. Course work is contained to weekends. And the Executive MBA takes the idea of real world to the next level with our international study tour at the heart of your learning experience.

International leadership
Delve into global business, stakeholder engagement and entrepreneurship with the international leadership stream. Connect with leading universities on the study tour and deep dive with some of the world's best companies. This stream will specialise your skills in stakeholder engagement, international business, and entrepreneurship.
Complex program leadership and strategic procurement
Develop the capability to lead in complicated environments by connecting with some of the world's most difficult projects as part of the complex program leadership and strategic procurement stream. Choosing this stream will hone your knowledge in project implementation, risk management, and strategic global contracting.
Integrated workplace project
QUT is all about real-world learning. That's why the final component of your Executive MBA is a capstone unit that gives you the opportunity to apply what you have learnt in a new venture or organisation.
The aim of the workplace project is to enable students to apply learning from the program to address a complex work-based problem or a new or emerging business opportunity of interest to the student, their employer or a sponsoring organisation.

Complex Project Alignment and Implementation Study Tour
The Complex Program Leadership and Strategic Procurement Study Tour features a bespoke engagement with some of the world's biggest and most complicated projects.
You'll learn how global organisations such as Airbus and Pilatus manage large and difficult projects within and across complex environments.
These perspectives aren't just limited to engineering or technical functions, but also embrace the social, cultural, and political dimensions that inform practices, relationships and expectations across international supply chains.
MIT Immersion Program
The international leadership stream features a visit to one of the world's best universities, MIT. You'll learn about leveraging emerging digital technologies and data analytics to drive organisational transformation in the face of digital disruption.
In an Australian-first initiative, MIT Sloan School of Management and QUT Business School are collaborating, with a focus on an innovative immersion program for QUT Executive MBA and MBA students.
Leadership coaching and mentoring
As you work your way through the QUT Executive MBA, you'll have a leadership coach every step of the way to guide you.
During the first half of the program, you will be allocated an executive coach to provide feedback on leadership style, advice on effective managerial techniques and help with course work.
In the second half of the program, you will be paired with an executive advisor who is a current executive or board member. They will meet monthly with you to explore leadership, decision-making and governance.

This course includes a two-week international study tour. The cost is:
- $8,500 (approximate) for the international leadership study tour
- $10,000 (approximate) for the complex program leadership study tour.
This includes all in-country transportation, accommodation, company and site visits, and most meals.
