Why choose this course?

Creativity is used in many areas of community and cultural development, youth arts, disability arts and correctional services. Graduates of this course may work in roles that encourage the use of creative disciplines to support individuals and communities who are experiencing social or economic adversity.

You will major in an area of creative industries that may include creative and professional writing, fashion communication, interactive and visual design, and screen content production.

Choose elective units in human services that support your creative interests, such as Indigenous health, domestic violence, youth services or disability.

Extensive professional placement provides an opportunity to network and explore the array of career pathways. These placements can be completed in local, regional or overseas locations.

This dual-focus program ensures that you are well-prepared to tackle diverse challenges, from leading creative projects to implementing impactful social initiatives. This double degree positions you as a forward-thinking leader capable of bridging creative vision with social responsibility, making a significant difference in both the arts and human services fields. 

Work Integrated Learning

During this course, you will be required to complete 500 hours of work placement for the Bachelor of Human Services component.
